Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using LuNAC, or by accessing the LuNAC website (lunac.app), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the application or website.

Description of Service

LuNAC is an astronomical calendar that computes celestial event times, lunar phases, planetary positions, and related data using the astronomy-engine library. The application provides both a free tier and an optional paid premium subscription.

Accounts

Some features of LuNAC require you to create an account using an email address and password, or by signing in with Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating an account.

Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the app (More > Account > Delete Account) or by emailing hello@lunac.app. Account deletion uses a 30-day grace period. During this period, your account is suspended. You may cancel the deletion at any time during the grace period by signing back in. After 30 days, your account and all associated data are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Deleting your account does not cancel any active App Store or Google Play subscription. Subscriptions and Payments

LuNAC offers a premium subscription purchased through Apple's App Store or Google Play. Payment is processed entirely by Apple or Google according to their respective terms. Subscription pricing, billing cycles, and renewal terms are displayed at the time of purchase. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds are subject to the policies of Apple or Google, as applicable.

License to Use

LuNAC grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use this application for personal, non-commercial purposes. This license does not include the right to sublicense, resell, or distribute the application or its data.

Intellectual Property

The LuNAC application, including its design, code, icons, and bundled astronomical data, is the intellectual property of its developers. All content on the LuNAC website, including text, design, and branding, is the property of LuNAC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Astronomical computation results are generated using the open-source astronomy-engine library. Moon texture imagery is derived from NASA Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter data (public domain).

Astronomical Accuracy

LuNAC computes astronomical data deterministically using the astronomy-engine library. All celestial event times, positions, and related data are the output of mathematical computation and are presented for informational purposes only.

LuNAC does not guarantee that computed values are suitable for navigation, safety, agriculture, or any professional application. Computed outputs may differ from other sources due to differences in algorithms, reference frames, or time scales. You assume all responsibility for how you use this information.

User Content

You retain ownership of any observations, schedule entries, or notes you create within LuNAC. You are solely responsible for the content you create. LuNAC does not moderate, review, or access user-created content.

Website Usage

The LuNAC website (lunac.app) is provided for informational purposes. You agree not to misuse the website or attempt to access it through automated means beyond normal browsing.

Waitlist Participation

Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access to LuNAC at any specific time or at all. We reserve the right to manage the waitlist at our discretion. By submitting your email address to the waitlist, you consent to receiving email communications about LuNAC availability and updates. You may unsubscribe at any time.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application, except to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law. You agree not to use the application for any unlawful purpose.

No Warranty

LuNAC is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The LuNAC website is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation of the website.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developers of LuNAC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the application, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the application in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Service Availability

LuNAC does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the application. We may suspend, modify, or discontinue features at any time without notice. Pre-generated astronomical data bundled with the application is available offline and is not dependent on network connectivity.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to LuNAC at any time for violation of these terms. You may stop using LuNAC at any time by uninstalling the application. You may delete your account as described in the Accounts section above. Upon termination, your license to use the application ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including limitation of liability, no warranty, and governing law) will survive.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be included in a future application update and on the LuNAC website. The effective date above will be updated accordingly. Continued use of LuNAC after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Dakota, United States. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
